The Renaissance Hotel in Plantation, Florida is a lovely hotel, not far from the 2nd largest mall in Florida, Sawgrass Mills. Decorated in chic and modern motifs, this hotel brings a touch of luxury to all travelers.
The lobby of the hotel is very spacious and bright with plenty of seating. The check-in process was quick and staff members were extremely friendly.
Bin 595, a restaurant and bar on the main floor, is located next to the lobby. There is also a small snack shop off of the registration desk. Steps from the lush lobby is the business center, which has an ATM and 2 computers available for use. Beautiful red carpet lines the halls of the convention center, with dashes of exotic and modern art and furniture.
My room within the hotel was clean, bright, and inviting. Decorated in natural tones with just a few splashes of color, it had everything I needed. In addition to the standard hotel offerings, there was a refrigerator, a coffee maker, and a few free water bottles. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, with an eye-catching photo mural on the wall. The bed was wonderfully soft and supportive, with crisp fresh sheets. I had a wonderful view of the New River Greenway outside my window.
The Renaissance Hotel has a very nice fitness facility on the second floor. Larger than most hotel gyms, there is a variety of cardio and weight lifting equipment. Some of the cardio equipment is a little older, but is in good condition. In addition to weight machines, free weights, stability balls, medicine balls, and mats are available. Towels, water, extra headphones, and even apples are available here.
Even though I did not use the pool and jacuzzi, I did make sure to stop by and have a look. The pool is quite appealing, with tropical landscaping surrounding. The pool and jacuzzi were clean both inside and around it. They were both very inviting! Pool towels are available for use just inside the door that leads to the pool.
I am unable to rate the dining facilities at the Renaissance, as I was only there one day and I didn’t have enough time to try them out. They appeared to have several vegetarian options on the menu, but the items were a little pricey.
The staff here was incredibly nice and helpful. Staff politely addressed me in the hallways. I was very impressed at the quality of service here.
Overall, I was very pleased with my stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Plantation. A frequent hotel for business travelers, this hotel had everything I needed as someone traveling for leisure. I look forward to staying here again.
Happy Travels!
