Within the Westin Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale is the American Vintage Bar and Grill. It is located off the lobby and has seating both inside and outside. The decor within the inside of the restaurant is nice with wood tones and has a large, open seating area. The side of the restaurant borders A1A and has a beautiful view of Ft. Lauderdale Beach. The restaurant was not very crowded while we dined on a Monday night. Despite its large size, the restaurant seemed more like a place that convention attendees grabbed a drink before heading out for the evening than a popular dining spot.

Our service was mixed. We interacted with some staff who were excellent and other staff that were just alright. Their menu featured American style food, focusing on appetizers, steak, and seafood. Dining options were limited for vegetarians, but I was able to order a Pasta Primavera.

American Vintage met my expectations for dining in Ft. Lauderdale. The biggest downsides were their high prices, their limited vegetarian options, and the fact that they only open at 5 pm. However, if you are staying at the Westin, the American Vintage Restaurant is a nice place to get good food with beautiful views of the beach, despite mixed service.

Happy Travels!
